Lynn Kinz - Testimonial

A decade ago, Lynn Kinz was shopping at Wild Oats Market with three girlfriends. Interested in natural healing remedies, Lynn noticed a flyer announcing a free lecture by a physician named Dale Guyer, M.D., so she quickly signed up.

"It really just happened to be that he was the guest speaker," recalls Lynn. "I liked his speech very much. It all made sense to me. In fact, at the time I was enrolled in a reflexology course, so I was very open to any type of natural modality. Everything he said made sense to me—putting the mind, body, and spirit into a balance and harmony."

In fact, she was so moved by the talk that she followed up with Dr. Guyer's office to schedule an appointment.

"I was tired all the time and generally didn't feel well," recalls Liz, who suffered from a host of issues, including chronic fatigue. "We immediately began IV therapy at his office during that first visit."

During her initial consult, Lynn was impressed not only with the care that she received, but also the entire holistic approach.

"He has a questionnaire that you fill out, which makes sense to me," Lynn adds. "You write down what I would consider minor things—bad breath, stomach aches, minor aches and pains. No issue was very big, but together you can tell that the person was not a very happy or healthy individual. I know that now after going to nursing school—I didn't at the time."

However, one of the most memorable experiences to Lynn was Dr. Guyer's compassionate and healing philosophy, one shared by the entire staff.

"He was such a positive person," Lynn says. "In fact, everyone at his clinic had a very positive and uplifting attitude."

After a thorough blood and physical examination, Dr. Guyer discovered that Lynn was experiencing fatigue, inability to focus, limp hair, joint aches and pain, hormone imbalance, high lead and mercury levels, and chills. Slowly, he began to tackle the complex health issues one by one.

After undergoing IV, vitamin B12, thyroid, and supplement therapies, Lynn noticed a significant improvement.

"A couple of months under Dr. Guyer's care, in fact, I really began to feel better and better," remembers Lynn. "It was remarkable actually to go from feeling very poorly to feeling well. My blood work was finally good, and everything returned to within the parameters of normal. I don't know how he did it, but he did. "

Every six months or so, Lynn's energy began to wane, and she knew it was time to "beef up" her system again, so go to the office for IV therapy and routine check up.

"I had a lot more energy and began to think more clearly, which is one of the reasons that I went to him initially," Lynn recalls. "I never missed work, but it was such an effort to simply get out of bed and drag myself to the shower to get ready for work. I was almost sweating by the time I went to work and once there was ill. I put a good face on, but knew that I didn't feel well. When I went to my physician, we never got anywhere."

Four years ago, Lynn moved to Ohio near Wheeling, West Virginia, where she works as a nurse in the forensics lab at a state mental hospital. While rewarding, the job is stressful. So last summer when planning a return trip to Indianapolis to visit friends, Lynn also made sure to schedule an appointment with Dr. Guyer to "beef up" once again.

"When I went to see him this summer, he gave me a list of supplements to take and I do," says Lynn. "When I walked into his office, everything seemed very calm and peaceful. While in the waiting room, I looked out the picture windows and saw a peaceful environment: the same scenery was in view in the patient offices as well, which is in stark contrast to most doctors' offices where you sit in a closed-up room. If you have anything to look at, it's an illustration of the digestive track while sitting on steel tables."

Apart from a significant improvement in overall quality of life, Lynn appreciates Dr. Guyer's unique personal approach.

"One of the main things that I like about Dr. Guyer is that he is so interested in seeing you face to face and talking with you," she says. "He looks you straight in the face, as if he is trying to read your whole body instead of just jumping onto a cold examination table. In the medical community, everything boils down to prescriptions. But Dr. Guyer is very interested in the blood work and iunderstanding what the total body is doing, which really makes sense. I had confidence in him right away. The fact that I immediately began to feel better just reinforced my opinion."

The chance meeting a decade ago led to a lifelong friendship and ongoing partnership in health.

"I have always been very grateful that I went to him, because he was always able to zone in on my health problems instead of just saying we can't find anything wrong, like many other physicians," Lynn stresses. "When I first went to him, I know I wasn't feeling well. Now at 61, I feel remarkably healthy. I simply can't say enough good about Dr. Guyer and his entire staff."
